What is the Canadian Provincial Immigration Program ?

The provincial nominee program is a fantastic option to immigrate to Canada. You are able to put yourself or another person up for immigration through a certain province. If you don’t fit the criteria for other programs or you wish to relocate to a certain province, this might be an excellent choice.

People who don’t qualify for one of the government programs may become allowed into Canada through the PNP. People may occasionally be eligible for a temporary work permit, which would let them enter Canada early and allow their spouses and kids to work there.

Take the first step toward your new life in Canada with a trusted legal team by your side. Don’t let paperwork and uncertainty slow you down—contact Sutton Law today for a free 30-minute consultation and let us help you achieve your immigration goals.

My lawyer at Sutton Law was a complete godsend throughout the entire process of my LTB difficulties. He was able to collaborate with the other teams representation while ensuring my best interests were always top priority. He walked me through the entire process and was always available to answer questions and help me through the problem. He even went to court to represent me that day so I wouldn’t miss work and stayed there until he heard direct from the judges mouth that my name was cleared.

Mr Alex is a very experienced, competent and knowledgeable lawyer. I highly recommend him for any immigration issue. He initiated a mandamus for the delay of my application for Permanent Residency and I received my PPR within a week after starting the process. Thank you so much for everything.

Provincial Immigration Programs

The province’s economic immigration program is the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP). It collaborates with the government of Canada through the IRCC. Foreign employees, foreign students, and individuals with the required education, training, and experience can submit nomination requests to the OINP.

The OINP has four branches of streams you may qualify for.

  • A job offer from an employer in Ontario
  • Masters or a Ph.D. attained in an Ontario university
  • Skill set required and/ or needed by Ontario employers ( mostly focused on skilled trades)
  • Foreign entrepreneur with a business idea.

If you have any questions regarding which stream is best for you or you are unsure which one you may qualify for, do not hesitate to call us directly at 647-492-4929.

Quebec does not have a provincial nominee program.

  • They offer programs to immigrate to Quebec on the conditions of being a skilled trades worker, and international student, a temporary worker or a business. However, their conditions and requirements vary vastly from those in the rest of the provinces.
  • In order to inform yourself about different ways to immigrate to Quebec, please visit their immigration website at https://www.quebec.ca/en/immigration

The Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP), originally known as the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program, is an economic immigration program that selects individuals for permanent residency in Alberta. Candidates must have the necessary abilities to fill open positions in Alberta or have plans to acquire or launch a business there. Additionally, they must be able to support their families. The Canadian and Albertan governments oversee the initiative. You, your spouse or common-law partner, and any dependent children may apply for permanent residence status if you are nominated under the program.

AAIP has a worker stream, with three branches, and an entrepreneur stream with 4 branches.

Worker Stream:

  • Alberta Opportunity Stream
  • Alberta Express Entry Stream
  • Rural Renewal System

Entrepreneur Stream

  • Rural Entrepreneur Stream
  • Graduate Entrepreneur Stream
  • Farm Stream
  • Foreign Graduate Entrepreneur Stream

If you have any questions regarding which stream is best for you or you are unsure which one you may qualify for, call us at 647-492-4929, or visit the AAIP website at https://www.alberta.ca/alberta-advantage-immigration-program.aspx

Under the Canada-British Columbia Immigration Agreement, the Province and Canada jointly operate the immigration program known as the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) (CBCIA). B.C. nominates candidates through the BC PNP who support the province’s distinct labour market demands and promote economic growth.

Each year, B.C. is given a certain amount of nominees. By ensuring program integrity, assisting eligible candidates for success, and remaining connected with the Economic Plan, strategic goals and activities help ensure that the BC PNP is run as effectively as possible.

To make sure the BC PNP is in line with recovery efforts to create stronger, more resilient communities, the Province will continue to monitor and assess it.

B.C. has a critical need for more healthcare workers and early childhood educators (ECEs). Under the BC PNP, these are therefore prioritized.

If you have any questions regarding which stream is best for you or you are unsure which one you may qualify for, call us at 647-492-4929, or visit their website at https://www.welcomebc.ca/Immigrate-to-B-C/About-The-BC-PNP

The province of Manitoba has three immigration streams, each with their own respective pathways
